Description: 6-12' x 6-15', open shrub, red brushes to 4" long occur in spring and summer.

Culture: Full to part sun.  Sand, loam, clay, bog or damp soils, will adapt to drier conditions.  Acid, neutral or alkaline. Moderately frost hardy.  Does well in damp areas.

Uses: Ornamental, hedge, screening, windbreaks.
